Milpitas Concrete Repair and Resurfacers

Even long, wide cracks like this can be fixed with ease.
Concrete repair is the general term we use that includes all methods for repairing concrete construction, but generally, three main methods are used by concrete finishers.

These three methods are crack sealing, commercial repair, and concrete resurfacing.

Commercial repair is done where fortified concrete sustains damage.

Resurfacing is done for flat stretches of concrete, typically asphalt or driveways.

Crack sealing is done anywhere in any type of concrete that has cracks in it.

Commercial repair
The first method is for damaged concrete where steel reinforcement is made visible through some kind of (usually serious) damage, which provides a very unsightly and very unsafe structure.

This method is mostly used in structural cement projects, like foundations, commercial buildings, and walls, where reinforcement is needed for integrity. This is the most complex method of concrete repair involving more intricacies. While that is true, Milpitas Concrete Contracting is equipped to handle any instance of damaged structural concrete no matter how big or small.

Safety is always most important, especially in buildings designed to hold hundreds of people.

Concrete Crack Sealing and Crack Repair

Before and after crack sealing of a concrete driveway in Milpitas, CA
The dark line of concrete will fade to gray in between 30 to 90 days.
For fissures and holes in cement, asphalt, or stamped concrete, filling is the method of restoration. Milpitas Concrete Contractors are trained to fill cracks in concrete and restore the appearance to how it looked when it was first paved. In this method, we place concrete in the fissure and then grind it down. Color of the crack turns from black to gray over the course of a few months.

Asphalt and Driveway Resurfacers

The third method to fixing concrete is called resurfacing. Our concrete contractors decide to resurface for certain damaged concrete, typically that's been weathered down over time. It is more or less a combination of cleaning, sealing, and sometimes even stamping or asphalt paving. Usually done by us for concrete driveways and patios, this type of repair is the most full service we offer.

Weeds sprouting through cracks? Color isn't consistent? Want a different color or pattern? These are all issues that our concrete finishers can fix with a quick resurface. Occasionally we may have two professionals, for instance an asphalt paver and a concrete finisher, work together for these kinds of projects. We take great pride in our resurfacing work, and it is one of the best ways to make concrete look as good as new.

I had a nasty crack in a planter on my side yard. I called these guys to come take a look and they told me they could have it fixed by the end of the day. They did. Money well spent and I'm definitely coming back for more whenever I need it. Thanks you guys. Recommended.

How do we repair concrete?

Commercial Concrete/Foundation Repair: Fixing reinforced concrete, unlike cracks, is a fairly complex process. When exposed reinforcement is identified, new concrete is formed onto the exposure, like how it was set in the first place. Before this is done, however, the steel is cleaned and, if needed, replaced. Depending on the extent and type of damage, your concrete contractors may decide to restrengthen the structure.

Crack Sealing: Sealing cracks is done by first chiseling the crack to a certain width (usually about a quarter-inch), and then using a sealant to cover the concrete. Once the sealant is placed, it will dry and firm up and form a skin. Your concrete contractor then uses a tool to grind the surface down to level and the concrete is now good as new. This step is called concrete grinding.

Resurfacing: After cleaning, sealing and filling cracks and holes, and, if needed, paving another layer of concrete or asphalt, a finish is applied to the concrete that protects it for the time to come. All five of these steps are taken with the client's full end-goal in mind. We not only are able to restore your concrete's original look, but we are able to completely redo your patio, driveway, pool, or whatever we're working on for you without going through the hassle of demolishing the site first.
