Concrete and Asphalt Cleaning, MilpitasConcrete cleaning is when a concrete contractor uses one of two methods to clean concrete to restore its looks to how they were when the concrete was first laid out.
This is different from concrete repair in that the goal is not to restore functionality or to avoid a loss of the construction's integrity, but rather to restore the appearance of the concrete. This can be done for all types of concrete, but mainly is used for stamped concrete and driveway concrete and concrete floors. Power-wash and acid stain The two methods to beautifying dirty concrete alluded to above are power-washing and chemical-washing. Which method is used mainly depends on whether the concrete is indoors or outdoors, but factors such as the wear on the concrete as well as what exactly is causing the issues both contribute to the decision on which method to use. Our concrete contractors are trained to be able to identify every factor needed to make the right decision on which method should be used. Sometimes, crack-sealing is done beforehand to make cleaning the concrete easier, even if the cracks themselves don't warrant repair. Concrete walkway and sidewalk - freshly cleaned, looking good as new. |

Concrete service in the form of power-washing entails the use of a power-washer and an eco-friendly detergent. We simply apply, aim, spray, and clean up. Depending on the element making the concrete look bad, we may apply stronger chemicals to the affected areas before power-washing.
A lesser task that is usually not needed is scrubbing tough areas with a bristled tool made especially for scrubbing concrete. A job well-done with a concrete cleaning project means a stretch of concrete or asphalt that is cleaned to the point where it looks as good as it did when it was first paved. |
If indoors, where we don't want water, detergent, and the particles being washed off getting everywhere, concrete cleaners will use the chemical-wash method. Certain imperfections can be taken out with weaker chemicals, but some need much stronger chemicals to disappear. This is a reason why, although you can do it yourself (more on that below), it is highly recommended that you seek professionals for acid staining and pressure-washing alike.
Chemicals like muriatic acid, which is commonly used for extremely tough stains, are very, very dangerous if the proper precautions aren't taken, and even we don't use it if we don't have to. But given all this, if you chose us to place your concrete, you'll seldom even need a cleaning. All of our projects are finished with a reliable concrete sealer that prevents most stains. |
I have a really nice concrete wall in my backyard where my studio is where my husband makes his music. We had tree work being done and afterwards there was a lot of dust and tree particles in the yard. I called Milpitas Concrete Contracting and had them clean the patio and the walls of my studio. I had it installed only a couple weeks ago, so I was happy to see that these guys were able to make it look just as good as it did when it was first placed. Awesome job and it was really cool to see the powerwasher cut away all the dirt from the wall. Kids couldn't stop watching. Anyway this is a great team and I recommend them. Five stars! |
